Base Youth Leadership are building a movement to empower young men and women to be recognised, guided and mentored to achieve great things and reach their potential. The goal of BASE is to identify and celebrate Year 11 and Year 12 students in their respective areas of excellence and to support them in their future endeavours. Base Youth Leadership aim for the young women & men in our community to strive for excellence and to be socially conscious young leaders.
Year 11 Mullumbimby High School Drama student Byron Brown was successful in his application for the Category of Creative and Performing Arts Award for BASE Youth Leadership. This is a prestigious award that many students from all schools in the Northern Rivers applied for including the public, catholic and independent education sectors. Byron will now participate in the Leadership camp held next term along with our other finalists including: Oliver Cronin, Kayla Mc Namara, Shelby Booth, Molly Cheek, Lilyana Massey, Caitlin Woods.
