On Sunday the 11th of August 49 Year 10 students traveled to Falls Creek Alpine Resort in Victoria. We drove through snow covered roads to arrive at an Australian winter wonderland. Throughout the week, we stayed at Cooroona lodge in the middle of the Falls Creek village. We had the luxury of staying directly on the snow and were able to make snow men and have snow ball fights right on our door step.
At 8am each morning we clipped on our skis or snowboards and slide down to the first lift of the day for our 8.30am lessons. Our students were able to gain new skills on the snow, enjoy the company of their friends and were able to roast marshmallows in the Village Bowl, try night skiing/snowboarding and attend the night show spectacular which included a huge fireworks finale. The students had an amazing week and were sad to say goodbye to Falls Creek.
