Personal development, health and physical education (PDHPE) is mandatory from Kindergarten to Year 10.
PDHPE provides students with opportunities to explore issues that are likely to impact on the health, safety and wellbeing of themselves and others – now and in the future. Students also participate in challenging and enjoyable physical activity, improving their capacity to move with skill and confidence.
The PDHPE Faculty covers the areas of personal development, physical education, sports programs including the sports excellence program, physical activity and sports studies, sport lifestyle and recreation and the life ready program in Stage 6.
The faculty helps students to learn about healthy living and healthy life choices so that they can aim for a healthier lifestyle, to make appropriate and sensible choices, avoid uninformed risk taking and be able to cope with an ever changing world.
