I am in Year 10. What do I need to do to successfully engage in the subject selection process?
The subject selection process for Year 10 starts in Week 7, Term 2. From there we will follow through all of the stages outlined in the flowchart below..
To prepare, you need to:
o Watch our school's Year 10 into Year 11 Subject Selection Information Videos with your parents to hear your teachers describe the subjects available at our school, the requirements you need to meet, and how you will be assessed.
o Read through the Senior Studies Handbook for more details.
o If you are aiming for an ATAR and university studies, make sure you review the UAC Year 10 Information Booklet.
o Look at the SBAT opportunities available at our school and discuss its benefits with your parents. Please see the TAFE website for more information
TVET Courses timetable and choices for 2024 are also available at the bottom of the Year 10 page. Courses in Ballina, Kingscliff and Murwillumbah.
