Description | Both Preliminary and HSC courses offer students' knowledge, understanding and skills in aspects of engineering that include communication, engineering mechanics/hydraulics, including stress, strain and fraction engineering materials, historical/societal influences, engineering electricity/electronics, and the scope of the profession. Students study engineering by investigating a range of applications and fields of engineering. |
Structure | Preliminary Course Students undertake the study and develop skills and understanding in the fields of engineering in the following:
HSC Course Students undertake the study and develop an engineering report for each of 4 modules:
Two reports must be produced in both the Prelim and HSC Course |
Summary of external and internal HSC assessment | Students develop an engineering report for each module studied. At least one report in each of the Preliminary and the HSC courses must be the result of collaborative work. |
