Year 6

Year 6 to Year 7 Transition

Kellie Murphy

Transition to Year 7 in 2026 Programme.

I am excited and honoured to be successful in gaining the position of Transition Adviser 2026. I am looking forward to meeting the next cohort of students and guiding them through their high school years.

In my role as a Year Adviser, I hope to provide an inclusive and safe environment for students to forge friendships and memories, discover their strengths and passions, and confidently succeed throughout their high school experience. Additionally, I look forward to fostering relationships with parents and carers and connecting this group with the wider school community.

I am primarily an English teacher, though I am also qualified to teach music which I have a huge love for. Another role of mine in the school is Life Ready coordinator. Since moving from Queensland in 2018, I've worked in numerous schools in Northern NSW and can safely say that Mullumbimby High School is one of the best I've been in.

Please reach out to me if you have any wellbeing questions or concerns at kellie.murphy10@det.nsw.edu.au

High Achievers Class

The Year 7 High Achievers class is for students who like to learn at a slightly faster pace and in a learning environment with a greater focus on developing problem solving and higher order thinking skills. Students are selected for the class through an application process.
